Return Of The Type R

The Acura Integra Type R is back. After a one-year hiatus, the seemingly race-ready street vehicle has returned to the Acura lineup. The 2000 Type R is a limited production and is only available in two colors: Phoenix Yellow (interesting choice) and Flamenco Black Pearl.

The Type R comes equipped with a few unique features. One eye-opening feature is the 195-horsepower, V-4 engine. The engineering advancements -- which were not disclosed -- make it one of the most powerful 4-cylinder engines on American roads. Another feature that Acura boasts is the Type R sport-style seats. They are designed specifically to keep the driver planted in place when testing the car's performance around tight curves.

The new type R will have a retail price of $24,350 -- a great value for the money. And it is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty. It's on display in showrooms now.
